We are looking for an exceptional candidate who has a PhD, or is in the final stage of obtaining a Ph.D., in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, molecular biology, chemical engineering or related fields. Essential skills include one of the following: molecular cloning (bacteria and yeast), single-molecule/single-cell microscopy, protein purification, and other fundamental skills in molecular biology. We are also looking for candidates with experience in mathematical modeling of biological systems and cellular biophysics. Preference will be given to candidates who have the necessary background and interest to incorporate multidisciplinary and quantitative approaches in their research. Excellent writing and communication skills in English are required. The candidate should be highly motivated, creative, and excited by the engineering of synthetic systems to address important, fundamental questions in biology and biological engineering.
